WUST Engages in a Global Forum on Business, Sustainability, and Inclusive Growth
Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST) is an institutional partner of the International Conference on Business Innovation for Inclusive Development (ICBIID 2026), a multidisciplinary international conference bringing together academics, researchers, professionals, policymakers, students, and industry leaders to explore the most pressing questions at the intersection of business innovation and global inclusive development.
The International Conference on Business Innovation for Inclusive Development, organized by the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) in collaboration with the Center for Research and Publication (CRP) at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), aims to bring together academics, researchers, professionals, policymakers, and students from around the world. ICBIID 2026 promotes scholarly exchange across diverse business disciplines such as Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Supply Chain, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Corporate Governance, and Islamic Finance.
The key objectives are to encourage quality research, explore emerging global trends, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and empower early-career scholars. With a strong emphasis on innovation and inclusivity, the conference aspires to generate impactful insights and foster sustainable solutions for future-ready businesses.
ICBIID 2026 is structured across six major thematic tracks, each covering a distinct and vital dimension of business innovation:
ICBIID 2026 features distinguished keynote and invited speakers from different parts of the world, including the USA, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia, including the Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Gulf University, Kingdom of Bahrain; the Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation of the Faculty of Leadership and Management at University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM); faculty from UC Business School, University of Canterbury, New Zealand; the Director of the Research and Publication Cell at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh; and faculty from the Department of Business Administration at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh.
Accepted papers are submitted for inclusion into the IIUC Business Review, a research journal of the Faculty of Business Studies, and IIUC Studies, a multidisciplinary journal, subject to meeting the journals' scope and quality requirements. Papers are also considered for publication in SCOPUS and ESCI (ISI) indexed journals.
This dual publication pathway, in established institutional journals and internationally indexed databases, ensures that research presented at ICBIID 2026 reaches both the regional business scholarship community and the global academic network.
International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) is one of the top-graded, government-approved private universities in Bangladesh, established by the Islamic University Chittagong Trust, a non-political, non-profit organization registered under the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The university is situated on a beautiful campus at Kumira, Chittagong, surrounded by gentle hills, approximately 24km from the city and not far from the Bay of Bengal. The vision of IIUC is to establish itself as a Centre of Excellence in the South Asian Region across fields including Shariah Sciences, Business Studies, Modern Sciences, Engineering, and Law.
IIUC has successfully organized multiple international conferences on education, ethics, and the Islamization of knowledge, and has participated in numerous national and international academic contests. ICBIID 2026 is the latest expression of this conference tradition, and WUST's partnership in it extends the university's academic network into the heart of South Asia's growing research community.
WUST's engagement with ICBIID 2026 reflects a dimension of the university's research mission that goes beyond technology and engineering. Business innovation, inclusive growth, corporate governance, digital transformation, and sustainable finance are topics that touch the lives of every professional that WUST educates, whether in information technology, business administration, or cybersecurity.
ICBIID 2026 is an international conference aimed at bringing together researchers, academicians, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to discuss innovations in business that contribute to inclusive development, featuring keynote presentations, research paper presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions. For WUST students and faculty working in business-adjacent fields, participation in ICBIID 2026 offers a direct pathway to present research, engage with international peers, and contribute to a growing body of knowledge about how business can be a force for equity and sustainable development.
