WUST Successfully Hosted the 10th International Joint Conference on Advances in Computational Intelligence

Alexandria, VA, USA - July 24-25, 2026

Washington University of Science and Technology successfully hosted the 10th International Joint Conference on Advances in Computational Intelligence (IJCACI 2026) on July 24-25, 2026. The two-day hybrid conference brought together researchers, academics, students, innovators, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and discuss recent developments in computational intelligence.

The conference opened at WUST’s Alexandria, Virginia campus with registration, an inaugural ceremony, plenary presentations, keynote addresses, invited talks, and technical paper presentations. Participants attended both in person and remotely, while the second day’s technical sessions were conducted online to support international participation.

The program included 19 technical sessions covering areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, intelligent systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, blockchain, healthcare technologies, environmental monitoring, natural language processing, and explainable AI. Researchers presented work addressing practical and emerging challenges across academic, industrial, and social applications.

The conference also featured speakers and professionals from universities, technology companies, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and other industries. Their presentations highlighted the growing connection between academic research and the practical use of intelligent technologies.

Prof. Touhid Bhuiyan of WUST served as one of the conference’s General Chairs alongside Prof. Jagdish Chand Bansal of South Asian University and Prof. Mohammad Shorif Uddin of Jahangirnagar University. The conference was jointly organized with the Soft Computing Research Society and also provided a platform for recognizing professionals contributing to artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and related fields.

Through IJCACI 2026, WUST strengthened its role as an international platform for interdisciplinary research, academic collaboration, professional networking, and the exchange of technology-driven ideas.
